Thousands of people came from all over the country to watch this leg of the race in Worrall, some even pitched prime spots from six in the morning! The atmosphere was amazing with a real party and community feel. The crescendo of the crowds built until it erupted a huge applause as the first riders came through.
In July 2014 the Tour De France will be held in Yorkshire and will be passing through the village of Worrall. As a legacy to mark this occasion Sara and Robin have designed and installed a contemporary site specific artwork that has engaged the local community in its creation. This exciting project has been fully supported by a number of local businesses who have sponsored the project through the donation of practical resources, their time and their expertise.
